Staff Development/Professional Development (PD) Overview

UCPS Kickoff registration is closed.  We have reached capacity.

Kickoff Information (for those that have already registered): Breakout sessions for August 15th-16th have been uploaded and published through Sched. PLC sessions being held on Friday, August 17th have also been uploaded in Sched.  Sched is a website that will house the 2018 UCPS Kickoff schedule, session descriptions, and conference details. In addition, Sched manages conference and session attendance.  For your convenience, there is a Sched mobile app available. The breakout session schedule has been posted on the Sched website at Check back often for additions, updates, and additional communication.

Friendly reminders: CEUs can be earned for attending UCPS’s Kickoff.  In order to receive CEU credit, you will need to register for and attend each session AND complete the feedback survey for each applicable session via Sched.  The feedback survey button/icon will appear in each scheduled session via Sched during the actual session time frame.  An electronic, internet-accessible device (ex. Laptop, iPad, smartphone) is needed to access Sched.

*Sessions are scheduled for Weddington High School unless otherwise noted in the Sched app.

Weddington HS and MS are not “connected”. If your session is at WMS, please park at WMS (5903 Deal Rd Matthews, NC 28104).

You are welcome to bring your lunch or purchase from available food trucks at one’s own expense ($2 ticket will be provided each day to spend at food trucks)—they will housed at WHS. Walking from WMS to WHS is a bit of a walk; please plan accordingly.
