Tis the season! Vote for your favorite holiday card Nov. 8-11
The holiday season is just a few weeks away and UCPS is pleased to share impressive artwork that was submitted for the district’s annual holiday card contest. For the first time, students, parents, staff, and community members will have the opportunity to vote for the top 10 cards. The voting period will run Monday, Nov. 8 through Thursday, Nov. 11 at 11:59 p.m.

At the Nov. 4 meeting, the Board of Education approved a plan to add a second International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at Central Academy of Technology & Arts (CATA).

The Board of Education continues to honor students who are making a difference in their school and community with the John H. Crowder Service Award. At the Nov. 4 meeting, a Piedmont High School senior, who is a shining example of dedicated leadership and volunteerism was honored.

Student-teacher returns to her alma mater to share passion with a new generation of students
UCPS is proud to employ a number of teachers and staff who were previously UCPS students. Kaitlyn discovered her love for history and education while still a student at Piedmont High. Even then she knew that she wanted to return to her former high school and teach history.
